I'm Jesse, founder of Pathfinder Dog Training. My passion for dog training grew from years of training my own dogs. I currently share my life with two Brazilian Mastiffs. (The photo was taken on the day we rescued the younger one at six months old). Working with large, strong-willed breeds taught me that every dog learns differently--and that successful training starts with understanding the individual dog in front of you.

Think of me as a guide. We figure out where you want to go, then map the steps to get there. I use positive reinforcement, which means rewarding the behaviors you want, instead of punishing the ones you don't. It's humane, it builds trust, and it works for dogs of any age, breed, and size.

I am certified in Basic Obedience Training through Animal Behavior College, an APDT Learning Partner and trained in Pet CPR and First Aid. Because training is an ever-evolving field, I'm committed to continually expanding my knowledge through workshops, conferences, seminars, and continuing education. My mission is to provide the most effective, up-to-date, and compassionate training methods to every dog and family that I work with. 

Every family is unique, and every dog is different. That's why I travel to you, observe how your dog lives day to day, and build a training plan around your dog, your goals, and your household.

I believe every dog should have the opportunity to experience the world with confidence, together with their human.
